In case the attack continues in coming days, our websites could be very
slow or even impossible to access. We hope to find a solution to this problem
during this week.
We are very thankful for your support and understanding. If you have questions

27.10.05 Update |
We have changed our main bank
To further improve our services we have changed our main bank from Hansabank, Estonia to Sampo Bank, Estonia. New orders are being directed there as of now, existing ones arriving in the old bank will be carried out in a normal manner.
The main benefit will be for our European customers as the selling e-currencies for an EU wire is now without any bank fee, the only fee that remains is our exchange fee. The fees for some types of outgoing wires are reduced as well.
We hope that the transition time will bring very little inconveniences to our customers. Thank you for using our services!

23.06.05 Holiday |
IceGold will be closed on 23.-24. June because of Estonian national
holidays - Victory Day and Midsummer Day. We will resume our normal work on
Monday, June 27th. Thank you for your patience!

13.06.05 Update |
Change in required contact information
Our loyal customers might have already noticed that we now also require you
to enter your phone number and country of residence (previously optional)
when registering exchange with IceGold. These changes have been made to
ensure that we can offer you the best customer support and develop better
services for you.
We have found over the years that it is quite important to have correct
phone number as sometimes our e-mails are not received by customers or they
go unanswered. Having another alternative contact channel will ensure that
we can reach you in case there are problems (account name confirmation,
returned payments, e-mails bouncing) that need to be solved.
The need to know customer's country of residence is tied to the previous
point as we will need to know in what time zone the person resides. It also
helps us to offer better service, for example we are soon launching our
German website as we have found out that we have many customers from
German-speaking countries.

Domestic wires in Latvia no longer accepted
We can no longer accept domestic bank wires in Latvia. We recommend our Latvian
customers to open account with Latvian Hansabanka and make transfers to
our Estonian Hansapank from there. The fee for these payments is 1.5 LVL
regardless of the payment currency and amount.

18.01.05 Alert! |
IceGold e-mail address used in fake e-mails
It has come to our attention that someone has been sending out fake e-mails with an attached Trojan Spy program appearing to have come from us. The e-mail subject was "IceGold exchange: wire has been sent out!".
This message was not sent by us. We do send out similar messages, but never with any attachments and only to people who have registered an exchange transaction at our site. According to the fake e-mail's headers it was sent out from a compromised computer at California State University, Sacramento. The attachment screenshot.zip unpacks to a Windows .scr virus, which has been identified as a new trojan at Kaspersky Antivirus Lab. They have added the detection rules which will be published in the next update.
Never open unexpected or otherwise suspicious e-mail attachments. If you did open that attachment please contact computer security experts as soon as possible to have your computer examined and spyware removed.
